Eenvoudige schelpen armband, uit de opgravingen van John Garstang in 1906. Versieringen van schelp en been waren meer algemeen in Egypte in de Predynastische Perioden. In het late Middenrijk en de 2e Tussenperiode (rond 1850-1550 voor Christus) worden ze weer aangetroffen in grafvelden in Egypte, in graven van nomaden uit de zuidoostelijke woestijn, die door de Egyptenaren als veiligheidstroepen werden gebruikt.

A la fin du Moyen Empire et durant la Deuxième Période Intermédiaire (de 1850 à 1550 avant notre ère, environ), ils firent leur réapparition dans les cimetières égyptiens, dans les tombes des nomades du sud du désert oriental, que les Egyptiens utilisaient comme sentinelles.

In the late Middle Kingdom and 2nd Intermediate Period (about 1850-1550 BC) they are found again in cemeteries within Egypt, in burials of south-eastern desert nomads used as security men by the Egyptians.
