Description
Modern network of tubular and disk-shaped faience beads, predominantly of light blue, from the excavations of John Garstang in 1907, at Abydos. Beads of different colours of faience are characteristic of the New Kingdom, while original nets of blue beads began to be used to cover wrapped mummified bodies in the Late Period, after 700 BC.

Modern net van buis- en schijfvormige faience kralen, overwegend lichtblauw, uit de opgravingen van John Garstang in 1907 te Abydos. Kralen in verschillende kleuren faience zijn karakteristiek voor het Nieuwe Rijk, terwijl oorspronkelijke netten in blauwe kralen gebruikt werden om de ingewikkelde gemummificeerde lichamen mee te bedekken vanaf de Late Periode, na 700 voor Christus.
Résille moderne de perles tubulaires et discoïdes en faïence, surtout de couleur bleu clair, provenant des fouilles de John Garstang, en 1907, à Abydos. Les perles en faïence de différentes couleurs sont caractéristiques du Nouvel Empire, tandis que les résilles originales de perles bleues ont fait leur apparition sur les enveloppes de momies à Basse Époque, après 700 avant notre ère.
