Description
Black glazed pottery cup with looped handle, of Greek style and manufacture, from the city of Naukratis in the Western Delta. The city was a unique Greek colony installed with the permission of the Egyptian kings in the 26th Dynasty, to channel the trade between the Nile valley and the Aegean.

Zwarte geglazuurde aardewerken beker met lusvormig handvat, Griekse stijl en makelij, uit de stad Naucratis in de westelijke Delta. De stad was een unieke Griekse kolonie, gesticht met toestemming van de Egyptische koningen in de 26e Dynastie, om de handel tussen de Nijlvallei en het Egeïsche gebied te bevorderen.
Tasse en terre cuite noire émaillée munie d'une anse circulaire, de style et de facture grecs. Elle provient de la ville de Naucratis, dans le Delta occidental. La ville était l'unique colonie grecque fondée, avec l'autorisation des rois égyptiens de la XXVIème Dynastie, pour favoriser le commerce entre la Vallée du Nil et le monde égéen.
Schwarzglasierte Tontasse mit Schlaufengriff, in Stil und Herstellungsweise griechisch, aus der Stadt Naukratis im Westdelta. Die Stadt war eine ausschließlich griechische Kolonie, die in der 26. Dynastie mit Erlaubnis der ägyptischen Könige gegründet wurde, um den Handel zwischen dem Niltal und der Ägäis zu kanalisieren.
Coppa di terracotta invetriata di colore nero con un manico ad anello, di stile e manifattura greci. L'oggetto proviene dalla città di Naucrati sul Delta occidentale. La città rappresenta l'unica colonia greca, installata con il permesso dei sovrani egizi nella XXVI Dinastia, per collegare i traffici commerciali fra la valle del Nilo e l'Egeo.
