Description
Crudely carved bone amulet in the form of a fish, with head, eye and fins marked by incised lines. The tail segment is missing. The oxyrhynchus fish was considered sacred and gave its name in the Ptolemaic and Roman Periods to the city at the modern site of el-Bahnasa.

Grof gesneden benen amulet in de vorm van een vis. Het hoofd, oog en vinnen zijn aangegeven met ingekerfde lijnen. Het staartdeel is verdwenen. De oxyrhynchusvis werd als heilig beschouwd en heeft zijn naam in de Ptolemeïsche en Romeinse Periode gegeven aan de stad bij de moderne plaats el-Bahnasa.
Amulette en os, grossièrement sculptée en forme de poisson. La tête, l'oeil et les nageoires sont rendus au moyen de lignes incisées. La queue est perdue. L'oxyrhynque, poisson sacré, a donné son nom, pendant les Périodes Ptolémaïque et Romaine, à la ville qui se trouvait sur le site actuel de Bahnasa.
Grobgeschnitztes Knochenamulett in Form eines Fisches, dessen Kopf, Auge und Flossen durch Ritzlinien angegeben sind. Der Schwanzabschnitt fehlt. Der Oxyrhynchos-Fisch galt als heilig und verlieh in der Ptolemäerzeit und der Römerzeit der Stadt an der Stelle des modernen el- Bahnasa seinen Namen.
Amuleto rozzamente intagliato a forma di pesce, con testa, occhio e pinne formati da linee incise. Il segmento della coda è mancante. Il pesce ossirinco era considerato sacro e diede il <!-->nome alla città del periodo Tolemaico e Romano situata nel sito moderno di El-Bahnasa.
Amuleto em osso, rudemente trabalhado, com a forma de um peixe, com cabeça, olho e barbatanas marcadas por linhas incisas. O segmento da cauda já não existe. O peixe oxirrincos era considerado sagrado e deu o <!-->nome à cidade dos Períodos Ptolemaico e Romano, hoje com o <!-->nome de el-Bahnasa.
Amuleto de hueso burdamente tallado en forma de pez, con la cabeza, el ojo y las aletas señaladas con líneas incisas. La parte de la cola ha desaparecido. El pez oxyrrinco era considerado sagrado y en el Período Ptolemaico y Romano le dio su nombre a la ciudad sobre la que en la actualidad se encuentra Bahnasa.
