Description
Siltstone palette of rectangular form with shallow trapezoidal profile, broken around the lower edges. Palettes of different form but similar material were used for grinding green malachite as eyepaint throughout ancient Egyptian history, into the Roman Period.

Siltstenen palet in rechthoekige vorm met flauw trapeziumvormig profiel, gebroken aan de benedenste randen. Paletten van andere vorm maar van hetzelfde materiaal werden gebruikt om groen malachiet tot oogverf te vermalen tijdens de oude faraonische geschiedenis, tot in de Romeinse Periode.
Palette en limon de forme rectangulaire, au profil trapézoïdal peu épais, dont les angles inférieurs sont cassés. Des palettes de formes différentes, mais fabriquées dans le même matériau, furent employées pour broyer de la malachite verte, maquillage pour les yeux, pendant toute l'histoire de l'Égypte ancienne, et ce, jusqu'à la Période Romaine.
Rechteckige Palette aus Siltstein mit flach trapezoidem Profil, das entlang der unteren Kante gebrochen ist. Paletten unterschiedlicher Form, aber aus demselben Material wurden zum Zerreiben grünen Malachits für Augenschminke während der gesamten ägyptischen Geschichte bis in die Römerzeit verwendet.
Tavolozza in scisto di forma rettangolare con sezione sottile trapezoidale, rotto attorno all'estremità inferiore. Tavolozze di forme diverse ma di materiali simili erano usate per triturare la malachite verde utilizzata come belletto per gli occhi durante tutta la storia dell'Egitto, fino al Periodo Romano.

Paletas de forma diferente, pero de un material similar, era utilizadas para triturar malaquita verde como pintura de ojos durante toda la historia de Egipto, hasta el Período Romano.
