Description
Crudely fashioned miniature vessel with flat base, angular waisted convex body, short neck and outward flaring mouth. Such vessels are found in ritual deposits, including those laid at the foundation of new temple buildings. This example was excavated at the temple to the cult of Ahmose I, founder of the New Kingdom, at Abydos South.

Grof vormgegeven miniatuurkruik met platte basis, convex lichaam, korte hals en uitlopende mond. Dergelijke kruikjes worden gevonden in rituele gaven, zoals die bij de fundering van nieuwe tempelgebouwen gelegd werden. Dit exemplaar is opgegraven bij de tempel voor de cultus van Ahmose I, stichter van het Nieuwe Rijk, in zuidelijk Abydos.
Récipient miniature grossièrement façonné, à base plate, au corps convexe, au col court et à ouverture évasée.
