Description
Painted milk jar with two breast-spouts, rim impressed with cord, and with white banded painted decoration. Although rare, breasted jars are found in the 2nd Intermediate Period and early 18th Dynasty. The form and the decoration are typical of Upper Egypt. This example was excavated at Abydos as part of the burial goods of a relatively wealthy burial.

Beschilderde melkkruik met twee borstvormige tuiten naast elkaar, een rand met opdruk van een koord, en met geschilderde decoratie van witte banen. Hoewel ze zeldzaam zijn, worden van borsten voorziene kruiken wel gevonden in de 2e Tussenperiode en vroege 18e Dynastie. De vorm en de decoratie zijn typisch voor Opper-Egypte. Dit voorbeeld is opgegraven in Abydos als onderdeel van de grafuitrusting van een relatief rijk graf.
Jarre de lait peinte, au bord côtelé, dotée de deux becs verseurs en forme de seins et décorée de rayures blanches. Quoique rares, les jarres aux seins sont attestées pendant la Deuxième Période Intermédiaire et au début de la XVIIIème Dynastie. La forme et la décoration sont typiques de la Haute Égypte. Cet exemplaire a été découvert à Abydos et faisait partie du mobilier funéraire d'une tombe relativement riche.
Bemalter Milchkrug mit zwei Tüllen in Form von Brustdrüsen, am Rand Abdrücke von Schnüren, versehen mit in weißen Bändern aufgemalter Verzierung. Obwohl selten, wurden Krüge mit Busen aus der 2. Zwischenzeit und der frühen 18. Dynastie gefunden. Die Form und die Verzierung sind typisch oberägyptisch. Dieses Exemplar wurde in Abydos als Teil der Grabbeigaben eines relativ wohlhabenden Begräbnisses ausgegraben.
Giara per latte dipinta con due beccucci a forma di seni, il bordo modellato a cordoncino e decorato a fasce bianche. Sebbene rare, le giare con seni sono attestate nel Secondo Periodo Intermedio e all'inizio della XVIII dinastia. La forma e la decorazione sono tipiche dell'Alto Egitto. Questo esemplare fu rinvenuto ad Abydos come parte del corredo tipico di una sepoltura relativamente ricca.
Recipiente pintado para o leite com duas saliências evocando os seios e rebordo com corda e banda decorativa pintada de branco. Apesar de quase raros, estes recipientes de peito foram produzidos durante o Segundo Período Intermediário e nos inícios da XVIII dinastia. A sua forma e decoração sao típicas do Alto Egipto. Este exemplar foi encontrado em Abidos, entre outros bens funerários pertencentes a uma sepultura que se encontrava em relativo bom estado.
Jarra de leche pintada con una banda blanca, con dos picos en forma de senos, y borde con impresión de cuerda. Aunque resulte extraño, las jarras con senos pertenecen al Segundo Período Intermedio y comienzos de la Dinastía XVIII. La forma y la decoración son típicas del Alto Egipto. Esta pieza fue descubierta en Abydos, formando parte del ajuar funerario de un enterramiento bastante bien equipado.
