Aardewerken vaas met taps toelopende basis, convex profiel en korte, wijde hals. Dit exemplaar werd gevonden in een van de graven uit het vierde millennium voor Christus bij de belangrijke vroege nederzetting bij Kom el-Ahmar (het Hiëraconpolis uit latere teksten) in zuidelijk Opper-Egypte. De grafgiften dateren het graf in de tweede helft van het vierde millennium, toen de cultuur van Opper-Egypte zich noordwaarts uitbreidde over Neder-Egypte.

Vase en terre cuite, à base pointue, au profil convexe, au col court et large. Cet objet provient de l'une des tombes du quatrième millénaire avant notre ère, découvertes sur le site primitif majeur proche de Kôm el-Ahmar (l'Hierakonpolis des textes tardifs), en Haute Égypte méridionale. Le matériel funéraire permet de dater la tombe de la seconde moitié du quatrième millénaire, quand la culture de Haute Égypte se répandit dans le nord, en Basse Égypte.

Tongefäß mit sich verjüngendem Boden, konvexem Profil und kurzem, breitem Hals. Das Gefäß stammt aus einem der Gräber des 4. Jahrtausends v. Chr. bei der wichtigen frühen Siedlung in der Nähe von Kom el-Ahmar (dem Hierakonpolis späterer Texte) im südlichen Ober-Ägypten. Die Grabbeigaben datieren die Bestattung in die zweite Hälfte des 4. Jahrtausends, als die oberägyptische Kultur sich nordwärts über Unter-Ägypten hinweg ausdehnte.

Il vaso è stato ritrovato in una della tombe del quarto millennio, nell'antico insediamento chiave vicino a Kom el-Ahmar (la Hierakonpolis dei testi più tardi) nella parte meridionale dell'Alto Egitto. Gli oggetti ritrovati permettono di datare la tomba alla seconda metà del quarto millennio, quando la cultura dell'Alto Egitto si stava espandendo al nord nel Basso Egitto.

O recipiente foi encontrado numa das sepulturas datadas do IVº milénio a.C. em sítios perto de Kom el-Ahmar (a Hieracômpolis de textos mais tardios) no sul do Egipto. Os bens funerários o sepultamento dos últimos anos do processo de formação do estado, quando a cultura do Alto Egipto se estendeu ao Baixo Egipto, sob uma só monarquia.

C. del temprano asentamiento, clave, de Kom el-Ahmar (la Hierakónpolis de los textos posteriores) en el sur del Alto Egipto. Los bienes de la tumban fechan el enterramiento en la segunda mitad del cuarto milenio, cuando la cultura del Alto Egipto se estaba expandiendo hacia el norte sobre el Bajo Egipto.

Pottery vase with tapering base, convex profile and short, wide neck. The vessel was found in one of the fourth millennium BC graves at the key early settlement near Kom el-Ahmar (the Hierakonpolis of later texts) in southern Upper Egypt. The grave goods date the burial to the second half of the fourth millennium, when the culture of Upper Egypt was expanding northwards over Lower Egypt.
