Description
The canopic jar, which is used to store the embalmed internal organs of the deceased, has a lid shaped like a person's head. The figure on the lid is wearing a long three-part wig that falls on his shoulders. His ears and neck are left exposed. His relatively long arms and hands are crossed and carved in low relief on the front of the jar. The artist filled the space between the arms with the name of Qebehsenuef, one of the four sons of Horus.
