Description
Pots and jars for kohl, an eye paint used to enhance beauty and protect the eyes, were generally made with considerable creativity. This kohl pot is in the form of two pet monkeys squatting on their hind legs, opposite each other on an oblong base. They are holding the kohl pot between their hands. The pot has a wide lip and bulging belly. There are signs of erasure on the surface.

Les pots et les récipients pour le khôl, un maquillage pour les yeux utilisé pour s'embellir et protéger les yeux, faisaient généralement l'objet d'une considérable créativité. Ce pot à khôl à la forme de deux singes accroupis sur leurs pattes de derrière, se faisant face sur une base oblongue. Ils tiennent le pot à khôl entre leurs mains. Ce récipient a un bord large et un corps rebondi. La surface présente des signes d'effacement.
كانت الأوانى الخاصة بالكحل، وهى تلك المادة التى كانت تستعمل لتجميل وحماية العيون، دائماً ما تصنع فى أشكال تعبر عن خيال الفنان المبدع. وهذه المكحلة صنعت على هيئة قردين جالسين على أرجلهما الخلفية الواحد قبالة الآخر وقد أمسكا بالمكحلة بين أيديهما. والمكحلة لها حافة عريضة ومنتفخة الشكل، كما يلاحظ وجود آثار كشط على سطحها.
