Description
This beautiful toy is made of painted sandstone. It was discovered at Tell el-Amarna. It depicts three monkeys, two on the left side and one on the right. They are stretching a robe above the horses' heads. All the figures are resting on a chariot with four wheels. This toy might have been used by the king's daughters to play with.

Découvert à Tell el-Amarna, ce splendide jouet est en grès peint. Il représente trois singes dont deux sur la gauche et un sur la droite. Tous trois tendent une couverture au-dessus des têtes de chevaux. Tous les personnages reposent sur un char à quatre roues. Ce jouet appartenait peut-être aux filles du roi.
صنعت هذه اللعبة الجميلة من الحجر الجيرى الملون. وقد عثر عليها فى العمارنة. وهى تصور ثلاثة قرود؛ إثنان على اليسار وواحد على اليمين. ويفرد القرود ثوباً أعلى رؤوس الخيول بينما هم وقوف على عربة يأربع عجلات. وربما كانت بنت الملك تلعب بهذه اللعبة.
