Description
This life-size statue of Hor, a priest of Thoth, is sculpted in the Egyptian style. It shows the strong influence of Egyptian art during the Roman Period. He is wearing a Persian-style tunic with his right arm by his side and the left folded over his abdomen, holding a flap of his cloak. The statue is supported by a pillar that bears hieroglyphic inscriptions indicating that the statue belongs to Hor, the Priest of Thoth.

Cette statue grandeur nature de Hor, un prêtre de Thoth, est sculptée suivant le style égyptien. Elle montre la forte influence de l'art égyptien au cours de la période romaine. Il porte une tunique de style perse avec le bras droit le long du corps et le bras gauche replié sur son abdomen, tenant un pan de sa cape. Cette statue est soutenue par un pilier comportant des inscriptions hiéroglyphiques indiquant qu'elle appartient à Hor, le prêtre de Thoth.
تمثال بالحجم الطبيعي لحور، كاهن تحوت، نحت بالأسلوب المصري؛ مما يظهر التأثير القوي للفن المصري القديم خلال العصر الروماني. وصور حور مرتديا عباءة فارسية؛ بذراعه الأيمن متدليا إلى جانبه، وذراعه الأيسر مثنيا على بطنه: وممسكا بطية عباءته. والتمثال محمول على عمود بنقوش مكتوبة بالهيروغليفية تشير إلى أن التمثال هو لحور، كاهن تحوت.
