Description
This head belongs to Montuemhat, the Fourth Prophet of Amun, Mayor of Thebes and Governor of Upper Egypt. He was the greatest man in Upper Egypt during the Twenty-Fifth Dynasty and at the beginning of the Twenty-Sixth Dynasty. The head depicts him as an old man who is bald. He has narrow eyes, well-defined cheekbones, and a wrinkled face. The statue reflects his intelligence and strong personality.

Cette tête appartient à Montou-emhat, quatrième prophète d'Amon, maire de Thèbes et gouverneur de la Haute Egypte. Au cours de la vingt-cinquième dynastie et au début de la vingt-sixième, il était l'homme le plus important de la Haute Egypte. Cette tête le représente sous les traits d'un homme âgé chauve. Ces yeux sont plissés, ses pommettes bien définies et son visage ridé. La statue laisse transparaître son intelligence et sa forte personnalité.
ينسب هذا الرأس إلى منتو إم حات، رابع كهان آمون، وعمدة طيبة، وحاكم مصر العليا. وكان الرجل الأول هناك أيام الأسرة الخامسة والعشرين، ومطالع السادسة والعشرين. ويظهر رأس منتو إم حات كرجل عجوز برأس صلعاء في الوسط، وينزل الشعر على جانبي الرأس، وعيناه ضيقتان. أما عظمتا الخدان، فهما واضحتان، والوجه به غضون. وتعكس ملامحه ذكاء واضحا وشخصية قوية.
