Description
The statue represents Sed-Hotep standing with his left leg forward. He wears a wig painted black that reaches his shoulders. He holds a roll in each hand, and is wearing a kilt. There is a dagger under his belt. His name is inscribed on the base of the statue. The statue was discovered in fragments in the debris of the northern chamber of his mastaba, or tomb, at Giza necropolis during excavations by a team from Cairo University

La statue représente Sed-Hotep debout, la jambe gauche en avant. Il porte une perruque peinte en noir qui tombe sur ses épaules. Il est vêtu d'un kilt et tient un parchemin dans chaque main. Un poignard est placé sous sa ceinture. Son nom est inscrit sur la base de la statue. La statue a été découverte en fragments dans les débris de la chambre nord de son mastaba, ou tombe, dans la nécropole de Gizeh pendant les fouilles dirigées par une équipe de l'université du Caire
تمثال يصور سد-حوتب واقفا وساقه اليسرى إلى الأمام، وقد وضع فوق رأسه باروكة شعر طويل مستعار مطلي باللون الأسود؛ يصل إلى كتفيه. وهو يمسك بلفافة في كل يد، ويرتدي كلتية، ويحمل تحت حزامه خنجرا؛ وقد نقش الاسم على قاعدة التمثال. وقد عثر على التمثال بين بقايا أنقاض الغرفة الشمالية لمصطبته أو مقبرته بجبانة الجيزة أثناء أعمال الحفائر لفريق من جامعة القاهرة
