Description
This large pot of terracotta comes from the excavations of W. F Petrie at Tell el-Yahudiya in 1906. It is a sort of cooking-pot with handles and originally equipped with a lid for cooking food or boiling water. Made from the Ptolemaic Period onwards, these receptacles were used until the end of the Coptic Period.

Deze grote pot uit aardewerk is afkomstig van de opgraving van W.F. Petrie in Tell el-Yahoudiya in 1906. Het gaat om een type kookpot met oren, oorspronkelijk voorzien van een deksel om voedsel of water te laten koken. Deze potten werden gemaakt vanaf de Ptolemeïsche Periode en werden gebruikt tot aan het einde van de Koptische Periode.
Ce grand pot en terre cuite provient des fouilles de W. F. Petrie à Tell el-Yahoudiya en 1906. Il s'agit d'une sorte de marmite à anses et originairement pourvue d'un couvercle pour faire cuire des aliments ou bouillir de l'eau. Fabriqués à partir de la Période Ptolémaïque, ces récipients ont été utilisés jusqu'à la fin de la Période Copte.
Dieser große Topf aus gebranntem Lehm stammt aus den Grabungen von W.F. Petrie in Tell el-Yahudija im Jahr 1906. Es handelt sich um eine Art Kochtopf mit Henkeln, der ursprünglich einen Deckel besaß, um Nahrung oder Wasser zum Kochen zu bringen. Diese von der Ptolemäerzeit an hergestellten Behälter wurden bis zum Ende der Koptischen Zeit verwendet.
Questo grande vaso di terracotta proviene dagli scavi di W.F. Petrie a Tell el-Yahudiya nel 1906. Si tratta di una specie di pentola ad anse e orginariamente munita di un coperchio per far cuocere degli alimenti o bollire dell'acqua. Fabbricati a partire dal Periodo Tolemaico, questi recipienti sono stati utilizzati fino alla fine del Periodo Copto.
Este grande pote de terracota provém das escavaçöes de W. F. Petrie em Tell el-Iahudeia em 1906. Trata-se de uma espécie de panela com asas que originalmente tinha uma tampa para cozer os alimentos ou para aquecer a água. Fabricados a partir do Período Ptolemaico, estes recipientes foram usados até finais do Período Copta.
Esta gran vasija de barro cocido proviene de las excavaciones de W. F. Petrie en Tell el-Yahudiya en 1906. Es una especie de marmita con asas provista de una tapa que estaba destinada a cocer alimentos o hacer hervir agua. Fabricados a partir de la Época Ptolemaica, estos recipientes fueron utilizados hasta finales de la Época Copta.
