Description
On this bronze coin, which was found at Elkab during the Belgian excavations in 1945-1946, the head of the god Amun is depicted. The reverse represents, as well as the name of a king, two eagles holding lightning flashes. The piece dates from the reign of Ptolemy Philometor, more specifically from the year 176 BC.

Op deze bronzen munt, die gevonden is in Elkab tijdens Belgische opgravingen in 1945-1946, is het hoofd van de god Amon afgebeeld. De keerzijde toont, buiten de naam van de koning, twee adelaars die bliksemschichten vasthouden. Het stuk dateert uit de regering van Ptolemaeus Philometor, meer specifiek uit jaar 176 voor Christus.
Sur cette monnaie en bronze, qui a été trouvée à Elkab lors des fouilles belges en 1945-1946, figure la tête du dieu Amon. Le revers représente, outre le nom du roi, deux aigles tenant des foudres. La pièce date du règne de Ptolémée Philométor, plus spécifiquement de l'année 176 av. J.-C.
Auf dieser Bronzemünze, die bei den belgischen Grabungen 1945-1946 in Elkab gefunden wurde, ist der Kopf des Gottes Amun zu sehen. Die Rückseite zeigt, abgesehen vom Namen des Königs, zwei Adler, die Blitzbündel halten. Das Stück datiert in die Regierung des Ptolemaios Philometor, genauer, in das Jahr 176 v. Chr.
Su questa moneta di bronzo, che é stata trovata a Elkab durante gli scavi belga nel 1945-1946, figura la testa del dio Amon. Il rovescio rappresenta, oltre al <!-->nome del re, due acquile che reggono delle folgori. Il pezzo risale al regno di Tolomeo Filometore, piú specificamente all'anno 176 a.C.
Esta moeda de bronze, encontrada nas escavaçöes de Elkab nas escavaçöes belgas de 1945-1946, mostra a cabeça do deus Amon. O reverso exibe duas águias com raios e com um <!-->nome real. A peça data do reinado de Ptolemeu Filométor, mais precisamente do ano 176 a. C.
